AI & Synthetic Media Policy (For Voices)

Cinemr is a human-first platform. We are built on real people, real experience, and authentic contribution. To protect trust and integrity, the following standards apply: 1. Prohibited Use of AI-Generated Personas The use of AI-generated voices, avatars, or synthetic likenesses of real individuals is not permitted on Cinemr. This includes: • AI-generated presenters or digital avatars • Voice cloning • Deepfakes • Synthetic recreations of real individuals • AI-generated likeness of a person (living or deceased) • AI-generated performances presented as real contributors Cinemr does not allow contributors to represent themselves — or others — through synthetic identities. Authenticity is non-negotiable. 2. Limited Exception for AI-Focused Documentaries The only exception to this rule is where AI-generated reconstruction or synthetic media is: • Directly relevant to the subject matter of a specific documentary • Clearly contextualised as part of the film’s theme (e.g., AI, digital resurrection, synthetic media, future technology) • Explicitly disclosed to viewers Such use must be pre-approved by Cinemr Pty Ltd before publication. 3. AI as a Production Tool (Permitted) AI may be used responsibly for: • Editing assistance • Subtitles and transcription • Research support • Graphics, visualisation, or educational illustration However, the on-screen contributor must be a real human representing themselves. 4. Platform Discretion Cinemr Pty Ltd reserves the right to remove content that: • Misleads viewers regarding authorship or identity • Blurs the line between human and synthetic contribution • Undermines platform credibility
